Kiele Sanchez, American actress, was born on October 13, 1977, in Chicago, Ill. The half Puerto Rican and half French performer attended Glenbard North High School. Kiele’s big break came in 2000 when an agent signed her after becoming a finalist in MTV’s “Wanna Be A VJ” contest. Her movie credits include “Migrating Forms,” “The Kiss” and the hit comedy “Stuck On You.” Kiele also has appeared on the television shows “Married To The Kellys,” “Class Warfare” and ABC’s popular series “Lost.” Kiele is currently starring in the second season of “The Glades” on A&E Television. Nikki Fernandez (Kiele Sanchez) and Paulo (pronounced /ˈpaʊluː/) are fictional characters on the ABC drama television series Lost, which chronicles the lives of over forty people after their plane crashes on a remote island somewhere in the south Pacific.[1] American actress Kiele Sanchez and Brazilian actor Rodrigo Santoro play the survivors of the crash of Oceanic Flight 815.[2]
The couple is introduced early in the third season.[3] The producers of the show were often asked what the rest of the plane-crash survivors were doing because the show only focuses on approximately fifteen of the survivors, and the characters of Nikki and Paulo were created in response.[4] Reaction to the characters was generally negative because of their abrupt introduction onto the show.[5] Lost‘s show runner Damon Lindelof even acknowledged that the couple is “universally despised” by fans.[6] As a result of this, the couple was killed off later in the same season. Both Nikki and Paulo are buried alive when they are thought to be dead by Hurley and Sawyer.
Appearances
Originating from Brazil, Paulo is a con artist working with his American girlfriend Nikki. Paulo works as a chef for a wealthy television executive in Sydney, Australia. Nikki guest stars on the executive’s show and also seduces him, which makes Paulo uncomfortable. Paulo murders the executive by poisoning his food, allowing him and Nikki to steal his bag of diamonds, which are worth $8 million. Three days later, on September 22, 2004, Nikki and Paulo board Oceanic Flight 815 to return to Nikki’s home in Los Angeles, USA.

In the show, Matt Passmore, the Australian stress reliever, is an ex-homicide detective from Chicago who has been discredited wrongfully and relocated to the town of Palm Glade (fictional), near the Everglades in Florida.
Man, Kiele Sanchez is, for sure, gonna look even more exotic in a location like Florida’s Everglades. Sanchez, is playing the role of an attractive medical student (Oh, the prospects!) who is the potential love interest.

The series will be shot in Pembroke Park in Broward County. According to reliable sources, this is bound to help boost the local economy. Reports also say that the production will get some part of an $11 million fund, kept aside by Florida to encourage TV and film production.

Kiele Sanchez (pronounced Kee-Lee) played the character of Nikki Fernandez during Lost’s third season. Sanchez, Rodrigo Santoro, and Elizabeth Mitchell were the newest members joining the cast of Lost for Season 3, along with former guest stars Henry Ian Cusick and Michael Emerson.

Background
While growing up in Chicago, Kiele performed in her first play in high school and was hooked. She continued performing in Chicago’s renowned theater productions until a few years later when, while watching television, she saw a commercial asking for people to audition for MTV’s Video Jockey (VJ) contest. Excited about the possibility of expanding her career beyond Chicago, Sanchez flew herself to New York and ended up being the first runner-up (out of 4000 people) in the contest. Little did she know that flying to L.A. (a prerequisite of the contest) would lead to the biggest acting breakthrough in her career.
Soon after arriving on the West Coast, Kiele appeared in three pilots and in the film Class Warfare. Last season she starred in the ABC series That Was Then, which was her first regular series role.
Now a resident of Los Angeles. Kiele is Married to Director Zach Helm and enjoys Yoga and spending time with her friends.
